Adept Networks is looking for a motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills and experience installing, configuring, and operationalizing hardware and software for diverse client environments.

Qualifications:

  • ≥ 3yrs experience in an IT support, engineering, or administration
  • Proficiency (architecting, developing, configuring, testing, deploying, administering):
  • Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016 /2019 etc.
  • Active Directory
  • WSUS
  • File Sharing
  • Network backup & disaster recovery
  • Enterprise Anti-Virus
  • Virtualization (Hypervisor, VMware, Etc.)
  • Windows (7, 10, 11) Clients
  • NAS

Requirements:

  • Put the client’s needs first and have a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Must have excellent judgement skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent typing skills
  • ≥ 3yrs experience in an IT support, engineering, or administration
  • Strong working knowledge of current Microsoft based operating systems
  • Advanced understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure design
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
  • Ability to commute to client sites as needed (20-50% of the time)
  • Professional appearance and a cheerful attitude

Preference given to prospects with:

  • VMWare: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Hyper-V: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Fortinet FortiGate UTM Firewalls
  • VoIP Experience
  • A+, Net+, MCP, CCNA or other IT Certifications
  • Previous MSP (Managed IT Services) experience

Essential Job Duties:

  • Diagnose computer and network errors and determine urgency of issues
  • Setup and install workstations and software
  • Repair computer hardware
  • Work is performed onsite and at Adept’s offices
  • Provide technical support over the phone and web to end users and client IT staff as needed.
  • Set up new user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Document all problems and solutions in our knowledge base
  • Keep ticket notes and time entries up to date in real time
  • Escalate to higher tier support when needed to resolve service issues quickly.

Work Location:
Medford, Oregon 97504, client sites throughout Southern Oregon.

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

  • ≥ 3yrs relevant experience with phone system support, engineering, or administration
  • Proficiency (architecting, developing, configuring, testing, deploying, administering):

  • VPN

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of VoIP Servers, peripheral Equipment, Handsets, etc.
  • Be personable and able to communicate well with clients and team members.
  • Able to train end users on VoIP operations.
  • Interface with back-end carrier portals for provisioning.
  • Work proficiently in ticketing system for time tracking and billing purposes.
  • Install and upgrade equipment software, manage VoIP servers on-premise and cloud based, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics such as Wireshark. Document problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing future installations.
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.

Preference given to prospects with:

  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.
  • Level I or Level II IT Technical Abilities
  • Passion for VoIP and Networking
